Dr Girish Dewnany completed his undergraduate and post graduate Orthopedic training from the Seth G S Medical College &KEM Hospital, Mumbai-The largest (1800 beds) &most prestigious Medical College in the City. He subsequently worked as a Lecturer at the KEM and Allied Hospitals for two years, before leaving for the UK to learn and master the art and craft of Joint Replacement Surgery.

While in the UK, Dr Dewnany trained and worked at The University Hospitals (Queens Medical &City Hospital) Nottingham and at Northern General Hospital, Sheffield. Both these Units are tertiary referral centers with a huge caseload of Complex joint replacement surgeries, besides complex trauma cases too. He qualified for the MCh Orthopedics in 1997 held by University of Liverpool.

In 2000, Dr Dewnany completed his FRCS and FRCS(Orth) from the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh, UK. He has British Board Accreditation for Consultant Practice in the UK and is on the Specialist Register of the General Medical Council,UK.

Dr Dewnany worked as locum Consultant for 18 months in the UK, primarily doing Arthroplasty (Joint Replacements), besides Trauma and Arthroscopy.

Returning back to his homeland after TEN years in the UK, Dr Dewnany has been predominantly involved in honing his skills and developing his sub specialty interest in lower limb Joint Replacement Surgery. He is involved as a Faculty in many National and International Symposiums focusing on Lower Limb Joint Replacement. He attends National and International Meetings to keep himself abreast of the ever-evolving field of Joint Replacements.

Dr Dewnany has also spent time in Australia-Melbourne (2008) &Sydney (2009) -to learn Computer Navigation in Knee Replacement and be a part of The Delta Group(fellowship), pioneers in joint replacement in Australia. He has also been a Visiting Consultant at a couple of private Hospitals in Dubai, not to mention the regular visits to the UK for updating himself with whatever new and different is happening in the developed world.

With a combined experience of over 3000 joint replacement procedures-both primary and revision joint replacement,Dr Dewnany is well positioned to give the best to his patient -a judicious mix of the Art and Science of Joint Replacement.
